The reconstituted family as a form of family cohabitation has now become widespread. In contrast to the traditional family, the statutory regulations regarding inheritance law do not recognise the reconstituted family at all. Without express instructions from the partners of a reconstituted family themselves, there are regularly unsatisfactory inheritance results. In our presentation, we will look at the efforts of the statutory regulations, we will also make recommendations for possible and sensible solutions in practice and point out pitfalls.

Our presentation on 31 May 2022 included an overview of the innovations, the subsequent need for action and any open questions.
