Responsibility and liability of the management in IT projects

in cooperation with the Munich law firm Witzel Erb Backu & Partner we held an online lecture on the topic of responsi­bility and lia­bility of the management in IT projects

Managing directors and board members of companies are exposed to a special lia­bility regime that can justify a personal claim in case of failed projects of the company. Even if the condi­tions for such lia­bility do not exist, suc­cessful imple­mentation can become the measure of personal success.

In this one-hour joint lecture by Witzel Erb Backu and Kuhn Carl Norden Baum, we illu­strated the typical lia­bility traps that threaten the intro­duction and imple­mentation of IT projects.

In addition, we outlined which current and future regu­latory guide­lines are rele­vant in this dynamic area and must be considered when imple­menting IT projects. Further­more, we discussed which possi­bilities exist to reduce lia­bility risks or appear possible with regard to forth­coming legis­lative acts.
