More Information

The lawyers of the law firm are licensed in accordance with the law of the Federal Republic of Germany and they are members of the Rechtsanwaltskammer Stuttgart, Königstraße 14, 70193 Stuttgart.

The partnership has taken out a professional indemnity policy with AXA Versicherung AG, Niederlassung Stuttgart, Liebknechtstraße 35. The insurance cover applies to work in Germany and the member states of the European Union.

The solicitors’ work is governed by the regulations of the German Federal Code of Practice for the Legal Profession (BRAO), the Professional Code of Practice for Lawyers (BORA), the Specialist Solicitor Code (FAO) and the German law governing the remuneration of lawyers (RVG) to the extent applicable in a given case.

The regulations governing the legal profession in Germany can be read and downloaded from the home page of the German Federal Bar Association (www.brak.de) under the heading "Professional Code of Conduct".

The German code of conduct for the legal profession forbids solicitors from taking up cases in which there is a conflict of interests (§ 43a Para 4 BRAO). This means that a review of a case will always be conducted to identify whether there is a conflict of interest.

Should disputes arise between lawyers and their clients, the parties have the option of resolving such disputes out of court at the regional bar associations (§ 73 Para 2 No. 3 in conjunction with § 73 Section 5 BRAO) or at the arbitration court for the legal profession (§ 191 ff. BRAO) at the German Federal Bar Association (www.brak.de, schlichtungsstelle@brak.de).
